I used to believe that a passport filled with stamps made one worldly. I used to have a big, obnoxious house but inside I lived a tiny life. I used to sit in a cubicle and watch the numbers on the stock ticker stream by. I freed my mind to question everything I thought I knew and trained my heart to really listen. I believe in telling the truth—the whole, messy, stretch-mark beautiful truth.
I have an MFA and writing will always be my first love. Radical creativity is still at the center of all the work that I do. I left academia for a career in financial advertising. I learned a lot about many different industries from commercial real estate and hedge funds to biotech and organic farming. I learned to think outside the box and on my feet. I worked closely with entrepreneurs on how to tell the story of their brand, and how to market their innovative products and unique processes and services. It is astonishing how many brilliant minds are solving important problems every day. I could have pursued a life as a business consultant because I am very passionate about that work but wherever I went, I found that many of the most talented and good-hearted people remained stuck despite their passion and talent. That led me to ask: Why did some people give up on their dreams while others did not? I studied inquiry and coaching with Martha Beck and Meadow Devor where I learned useful tools for navigating rough waters. I am a certified Master Coach. I am adept at helping clients find a way to break through resistance and create meaningful change. I help clients get in touch with their Why and claim the life they’ve always wanted.
